The Application Engineer is responsible for providing customers and representative with ongoing technical support for both before and after a sale.
The Application Engineer will work closely with the Customer Service team, Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Shipping department.
Key Responsibilities oSupport customers and representatives with sales quotes via telephone or email oAct as primary point of contact for all service and installation technical questions oProvide product training to our customers and representatives during Armstrong in-house training sessions or onsite sales calls oDesign applications to customers specific needs oCommunicate with Production relative to special requirements or needs of the account oParticipate with New Product Development Team during all phases of new product development process.
oVerify that correct documentation for each product is supplied at time of order from our customers.
oMaintain quote/customer data base for internal use and statistical analysis Key Requirements oExcellent written and oral communication at all levels of business oTechnical problem solver (Steam experience a plus) oEffective and professional presentation skills for small seminar and training groups oAbility to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner oCapable of prioritizing and meeting deadlines oAbility to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers and representatives oBasic computer knowledge - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Adobe oExperience in analyzing statistical data preferred oAbility to lead project from start to finish oSteam or Industrial Experience a plus Education Level Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Experience Level 2 years Benefits oHealth/Prescription Coverage oFSA or HSA oDental oVision oLife Insurance oCompany-match 401(k) Plan oVacation/Sick/Paid Holidays All benefits start on date of hire Physical Requirements oProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer oMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Recommended Skills Adobe Communication Customer Service Leadership Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
